I visited Jomo Electric Railways with my friend Gonta San in 2020. It is established in 1928 and currently ex-Keio Inogashira line’s series 700 (former Keio 3000) are used. We visited Daigo depot which retains old building since 1928 and registered as a national heritage.
Jomo Railways provide “cycle train” services which reminds us of trains of Europe (namely France and Germany). It is possible because passenger number of this line is small due to the rural location, but many similar examples can be found in other local medium or small size railways in Japan.
