鉄道は、たくさんの人たちをつないでくれる「道」だと思います。 This is a blog about railways in Japan and around the world by an enthusiast.
横須賀線と春の天気 JR Yokosuka line and Japanese spring changing weather
(日本語は英語の下です)
I went to Kurihama, a port town using JR Yokosuka line. Now new series E235 is replacing E217 in Yokosuka and Sobu Rapid line.
JR Yokosuka line is slower than private rail Keikyu but looks stable. For example, they have long 15 cars set with two double deck green cars (11 from Kurihama and Yokosuka and 15 from Zushi). It is good to note that front car a little far from stairway is much less crowded because of this long train formation.
In terminal Kurihama, I saw an interesting training train of 2 car set, perhaps series 209.
The weather of Japan in this spring season is changing rapidly. As seen in photo, sunny in Kurihama changed to rain in Yokohama and Tokyo, only less than in an hour.
