Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen to Nagasaki has opened this month. Nagasaki is an interesting travel destination with an international historical port. This Shinkansen is 69 kilometers length and the shortest line in current Japan. It may reflect that this Shinkansen and other recent lines in local regions are based on the intention and coordination of local prefecture and cities, not leaded by the central any longer.
